Oh, they usually don't make a scene in public, they prefer to present a unified family front, but if you disrespect them they'll let you know about it in private.

It is a common misunderstanding about the female Asian. While they appear to be submissive, they almost always get their way. Most often they use subtler methods than the western gal, but they are more effective. They let a man be in charge until he gives them what they want.

Of course, their wants in general are different form most western women. They're all about Donna Reed, not Maude. The Ozzie and Harriet life of our grandparents is their ideal. They know how to work a man, too. They build up his confidence and compliment on him about his muscles and skills until there is no project he'll not take on. Asian women originated "soft power".

I know, I'm dating one right now. I know she's working me, but I don't mind. The rewards are definitely worth the effort. Some days I feel like I was rode hard and put away wet, but I add the porch to her place, and redo the wiring, and put in the new disposal, and make furniture repairs and all sorts of things she could easily pay for. It gives me something to do, makes her happy and she rewards me well. She'll brag to her girlfriends where I can hear about how her boyfriend is so handy around the place, and put a porch on for her, and put in a much better disposal, and who fixed her grandmother's rocking chair so that you can't tell what was wrong. She puffs up my ego and I let her do it because it feels good. Then there are also the physical rewards.

Maybe western women have lost their touch. They've been told so long they don't need a man and Hollywood & TV show men as bumbling fools like Home Simpson more often than not. Hubby is clueless, clumsy and cannot live without a woman to tell him what to do minute by minute. Amazing how we've managed to get along so well before we were married and after.

Example: A car commercial. An average-looking woman leaves a date. As soon as she gets into her GF's car she complains "he said he was a student of life" and they both laugh. "Looks like I'll be in the single lane".

With an attitude like that, I certainly hope so. I don't want her reproducing. I have known some full-time students of life. They tend to be very well educated, earn more than a respectable living, are calm and kind and easy-going. Just what an Asian woman can't wait to get her hands on.

The Asian woman, as opposed to her Americanized sister, works her man on a subtler level. Instead of tearing him down, she builds him up, much like my grandmothers did with my grandfathers. She doesn't see marriage as a competition, but as teamwork. He goes out and slays the paycheck; as long as she has children at home she does the domestic thing. She makes sure he knows she appreciates his slaying of the paycheck and accords him the respect due the head of a household. By treating him as a king, she earns queen status. I remember my grandmother on dad's side coming in and giving him a bowl of popcorn between supper and bedtime, and kissing his bald head. In return, she could get away with murder.

Don't mistake the velvet of an Asian woman. It often covers iron. And hell hath no fury like an Asian woman betrayed. I've seen my GF's sister turn into a she-devil when she thought her hubby was fooling around. Turned out it was a misunderstanding, but even to an outsider it looked bad until explained. The very pretty woman she saw her hubby hug and kiss in the restaurant through the window was his first cousin, whom she had as yet not met. Perfectly harmless, but it looked bad, especially to a very pregnant (at the time and with their first child) woman.

Here it is a Pakistani/Indian/Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi who rarely marry white men.
